This PoE injection adapter can be used to supply PoE capable devices via the network cable. This kind of power supply provides various advantages: the device doesn't have to stay next to a power outlet, an inconvenient power supply can be removed, and one cable only (network cable) is connected to the device.
The PoE injector is inserted into the network line, one connection to the device, the other one to the network (e.g. switch). Finally, the PoE injector is plugged into a 230 V power line. It is suitable for networks and devices up to 100 Mbit/s (Fast Ethernet).

Additionally, the DECT systems COMfortel DECT IP1040, COMfortel WS-400 IP, COMfortel WS-Base, COMfortel WS-500S and COMfortel WS-500M can be supplied with this PoE injector.
